I play Entropia Universe a lot lately. It's an interesting game to say the least... it's tied to our real world economy. Long ago, before I started playing it was called Project Entropia... and it's been in the news a lot for various reasons, not the least of which is that some people have spent hundreds and thousands on items in game, way more than in some other games in some cases...
10 Project Entropia Dollars (PEDs) = $1.00 U.S. Dollar...
100 Project Entropia Cents (PECs) = 1 PED
Items in game decay, and the game maker, Mindarc, makes money off of that... so if you say buy a gun, your gun will cost you real money. Your ammo will cost you real money... and eventually your gun will decay like real world items do, and it will be worth less than you bought it for, just like a real world car is worth a lot less a month after you bought it and use it than it was the day it sat on the lot when you first saw it... The purpose of this blog is to post useful info about this game that comes from a variety of places on the internet, in forums, websites, and other locations... I have been collecting some of this info for a few months to learn more and more about the game. Hope this stuff is useful. If you need a mentor in game, I'm open to help you out... My in game name is Maria (Mastermesh) Mesh... and I can usually be found almost anywhere in game at various times, but usually find myself around Fort Argos and Neas Place mostly these days.
